Its now my turn to cook in our house and I’ve been wanting to try any soup dish. And since we have enough stocks of pork in our fridge I better prepare Pork Sinigang (a sour soup). Well, I’m not a masterchef or some sort, but amazingly it turned out well.
Cooking time: 45mins
Here are the ingredients:
- Pork
- Sinigang Seasoning Mix
- Spinach a.k.a Kangkong
- Some leafy veg
- Tomato
- Potato
- Onion bulb
- Fish sauce
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 liter water
Steps:
- On a boiling water, add potato, pork, salt (remove white particles from pork – tip c/o girlfie)
- When the pork is tender, add Sinigang Mix and all ingredients except the green veg. Let it cook for 10-15mins
- Lastly, add the veg and let it cook for another 15mins
- Voila!
It would’ve tasted even better if you add:
- Gabi (to thicken the soup)
- Green chilli (obviously to add spice)
- Tamarind (to make your eyelids close even more)
- Okra
- Eggplant
P.S. Wrote this on my way to the office in the bus.
